VIRTUAL—Creating an Agile Community Planning Process

  • Virtual—a Zoom link will be emailed to you (map)

Join us for a two-hour, VIRTUAL interactive session where we’ll explore the challenges and contradictions of establishing an agile process for community planning.

Through a series of fast-paced and collaborative exercises, we will explore the question:

How do we utilize an agile structure for responsive planning and innovation while maintaining consistency and stability for partner organizations?

This question is at the heart of the push-pull relationship between innovation and risk management. In this workshop, we will tackle:

  • Minimum requirements for both agility and stability

  • Voices, perspectives, and inputs missing from current planning processes

  • How to evaluate what is in-scope or out-of-scope for community funding

  • Fostering an authentic partnership between community organizations and the central planning process

  • How to balance organizational autonomy with community-based decision-making

This workshop is open to the entire community: lay leaders, professional leaders, subject matter experts, fundraisers, donors, and community members at all levels of experience with planning, grant-making, and impact measurement.
